Linn Park

Historic bridges, castle ruins, and diverse wildlife

Linn Park is the second largest park in the city has a variety of activities. The northern reaches of the park are historically interesting containing the old Snuffmill Bridge and the remains of Cathcart Castle. The park has an outstanding diversity of wildlife, habitat and plant life. Ranging from open grassland, scrub land, deciduous and coniferous woodland to the riverbank environment. The diversity of fauna and flora within the park is truly outstanding given the relatively close proximity to the hustle and bustle of the city Centre. The park also boasts an 18 hole golf course with stunning views over Glasgow.

Alexandra Park

Victorian elegance with views north to Ben Lomond

This 42 hectare (102 acres) East End public park is extremely popular with local residents and the wider community. Park users have always found Alexandra Park pleasant and well laid out and the highest point of the park gives views North to Ben Lomond and South to the Tinto Hills. The main pedestrian entrance into the park is through the main ornamental gates leading from Alexandra Parade into an impressive formal seasonal and carpet bedding display area leading round to the small formal rose garden.

Tollcross Park (37 hectares/91 acres) is internationally famous for its unique Rose Garden and impressive Winter Gardens.
